Brent Bond
Owner and Instructor, Brent Bond, brings over 20 years of experience in classroom instruction, coaching, and mentorship to his service with the Winter Park Driving Academy. He earned a BA in Secondary Education from Anderson University (IN) and a Masters in Education, specializing in Educational Leadership from Greenville University (IL).
As a State of Florida Certified Driving Instructor, Mr. Bond applies various instructional techniques and a vast knowledge of learning styles to his approach to new driver education.
Brent has been trained and practices MESE(Managing Emotional States Effectively) which aids students dealing with high levels of anxiety.
Our Drivers
Driving Instructor, Norm, brings decades of Middle School classroom education and an engineering mindset as his skillset for behind-the-wheel instruction. As a State of Florida Certified Driving Instructor, his logical and clear instructions help create a pressure-free learning environment.
Esmeralda Garcia brings over 2 decades of childhood education to her role with winter park driving academy. She exudes a warm confident instructing style that has garnered great results. Esmeralda serves as the director of bilingual driving instruction for the Academy in addition to working with our clients. She is a proud small business owner of Sage Signings Of Central Florida which is a great convenience for our clients needing forms notarized.
TJ comes to Winter Park Driving Academy with 10 years of drivers instruction experience for Decatur Public Schools in his native Decatur, IL. TJ excels at giving students top level technical knowledge and creating lessons that reinforce fundamentals and also creating new challenges for his drivers. TJ also serves as a elementary physical education teacher and assistant football coach at Lake Highland Preparatory School.
Shayne Roulston comes to the Winter Park Driving Academy with a wealth of experience in the driving industry. Shayne and his family have been Central Florida residents since 2017. During this time he served as driver and driving trainer for Walt Disney World and has been a behind the wheel instructor and road test examiner at multiple driving schools. He views his time with students as an extension of his background in ministry. He is an ordained minister and subsequently has 30 years in roles as a teacher and trainer.
Luciana has spent over twenty years in early childhood education before shifting gears into the role of a driving instructor. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, she adapts her teaching style to fit the needs of the student. She believes in keeping calm and creating a supportive atmosphere for learning, which she has found essential for student success behind the wheel. Safety is her top priority, and she is passionate about fostering confidence and responsibility in her students on the road.
Outside of teaching, you can often find Luciana getting creative with drawing and painting, using art as a way to unwind and express herself.
Kyle comes to us form the entertainment industry where he spend 25 years leading and mentoring his clients' careers on an international scale. Now, as a state of FL certified driving instructor, as well as a father of two teenage sons, he brings an empathetic approach of non-judgement and support to his students.
Outside of his time as an instructor, you will likely find him work in his vegetable garden or somewhere on a run.
TeeJay Edwards brings his trademark warmth and patience to his stellar driving instruction. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, TeeJay graduated from Full Sail University in 2014 and has been a resident of Central Florida since 2010. His love of art, the outdoors, and natural science has led to a fulfilling career in education, and he currently is a faculty member of the Ecclesial School Initiative on their Northland Campus. He and his wife Sarah are the proud parents of 4 children.
A dedicated educator and coach, Louis served as a Science Teacher at Lake Mary High School from 2000 until his retirement in 2022. He also coached the LMHS Boys Volleyball team and the Freshman Girls team. While teaching, Louis was a driving instructor for SCPS.
Originally from NYC and a big Mets fan, Louis holds a BS in Biology-Chemistry-Anthropology and an MA in Environmental Science.
