Brent Bond
Owner and Instructor, Brent Bond, brings over 20 years of experience in classroom instruction, coaching, and mentorship to his service with the Winter Park Driving Academy. He earned a BA in Secondary Education from Anderson University (IN) and a Masters in Education, specializing in Educational Leadership from Greenville University (IL).
As a State of Florida Certified Driving Instructor, Mr. Bond applies various instructional techniques and a vast knowledge of learning styles to his approach to new driver education.
Brent has been trained and practices MESE(Managing Emotional States Effectively) which aids students dealing with high levels of anxiety.
Our Drivers
Esmeralda Garcia brings over 2 decades of childhood education to her role with winter park driving academy. She exudes a warm confident instructing style that has garnered great results. Esmeralda serves as the director of bilingual driving instruction for the Academy in addition to working with our clients. She is a proud small business owner of Sage Signings Of Central Florida which is a great convenience for our clients needing forms notarized.
TJ comes to Winter Park Driving Academy with 10 years of drivers instruction experience for Decatur Public Schools in his native Decatur, IL. TJ excels at giving students top level technical knowledge and creating lessons that reinforce fundamentals and also creating new challenges for his drivers. TJ also serves as a elementary physical education teacher and assistant football coach at Lake Highland Preparatory School.
Shayne Roulston comes to the Winter Park Driving Academy with a wealth of experience in the driving industry. Shayne and his family have been Central Florida residents since 2017. During this time he served as driver and driving trainer for Walt Disney World and has been a behind the wheel instructor and road test examiner at multiple driving schools. He views his time with students as an extension of his background in ministry. He is an ordained minister and subsequently has 30 years in roles as a teacher and trainer.
Luciana has spent over twenty years in early childhood education before shifting gears into the role of a driving instructor. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, she adapts her teaching style to fit the needs of the student. She believes in keeping calm and creating a supportive atmosphere for learning, which she has found essential for student success behind the wheel. Safety is her top priority, and she is passionate about fostering confidence and responsibility in her students on the road.
Outside of teaching, you can often find Luciana getting creative with drawing and painting, using art as a way to unwind and express herself.
Jose Abraham Romero is a professional driving instructor at Winter Park Driving Academy who combines classroom experience with real-world driving instruction. He also works as a teacher at a private school, bringing structure, patience, and clear communication to every lesson.
Jose focuses on building safe driving habits, confidence behind the wheel, and practical decision-making for everyday driving situations. His calm, supportive approach helps students feel comfortable while developing the skills needed to become responsible drivers.
Fluent in English, Spanish, German, and Italian, Jose works with students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring lessons are clear, accessible, and tailored to each learner’s needs.
Patrick Hewitt brings over 20 years of driving instruction experience to the Winter Park Driving Academy. A 1998 graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a degree in safety and driver education, Hewitt guided two public school drivers ed programs in his native Central Illinois. He has relocated to the Winter Park area with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid University of Illinois sports fan and enjoys watching the greatest franchise in baseball: The St Louis Cardinals!
Chris Tran comes to the Winter Park Driving Academy from his home state of California. Predominantly a Saturday instructor, Chris really enjoys the challenge of making his students better. Chris is fluent in Vietnamese.
Sabrina Day has just completed her first full year of instruction with the Winter Park Driving Academy. In this time she has become one of the most requested instructors. Her warm demeanor and thoughtful instructional approach has been a hit with the client base! Sabrina is a proud Rollins College graduate that also is a veteran classroom teacher in the area.
Bill Kelly brings over a decade of driving instruction in the Central Florida area. Originally from NYC where he served as a police officer, Bill has become a fixture in the area first as a small business owner and now as a mentor and coach. When not instructing for the WPDA, he enjoys coaching his grandsons in football and cheering on his beloved NY Giants.
