The PEP Scholarship for Homeschool Students offers K-12 Florida students receiving parent-directed education access to flexible funding through the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program. Students typically receive $8,000 in an Education Savings Account (ESA), which can be used for private school tuition, homeschooling resources, tutoring, and other educational needs. In addition, parents with students that qualify for The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities (FES-UA) program can also use their ESA funds for driving lessons.
As a registered provider with the Step Up For Students program, Winter Park Driving Academy allows parents to use PEP funds for in person driving lessons, as well as in person and online courses and tests. This includes DETS, the Handbook Course, Knowledge Testing, and the various driver bundles we offer. Each student completes their lessons or tests, with the academy receiving payment directly through the scholarship or via reimbursement if parents pay upfront. To apply, parents must create an account on the Step Up For Students website and submit an application through the Education Management Assistant (EMA) portal.
Please note that a learner's permit is required before scheduling lessons.
