Statement Regarding New Drivers Education Requirement For Minors: This past week it was announced that the State of Florida had amended Statute 3.22.095 requiring all applicants under the age of 18 to “satisfactorily complete a drivers education course approved by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles which meets or exceeds the Department of Education Driver Education/Traffic Safety-Classroom 1900300 course version description.” This new law will take effect starting August 1st, 2025. Since this announcement, the Winter Park Driving Academy has begun the work of creating a plan that will allow its clients to satisfy this requirement in the most efficient and effective manner. We applaud this effort by the state to make our roads safer by investing in our newest drivers.
